You may have noticed the speed limits have been gradually reduced all over Spain. The reduction of the 100 km per hour limit on the A7 coast road on the Costa del Sol 4 years ago has reduced accidents and improved traffic congestion. However, there have been complaints by the community as to the congestion on the road in the summer.
Drivers are now requesting that the toll roads be open to help alleviate the traffic. This, in an ideal world, would happen, however, the cost of running the toll roads are high and the cost of their construction means that this is unlikely to happen.
